Award season is in full swing, and Laws Whiskey House is proud to celebrate another round of major honors for our Colorado whiskey.
Recent wins at the 2026 SIP Awards and ASCOT Awards recognized several expressions across the Laws portfolio, including Founder’s Select Bourbon, San Luis Valley Rye Bottled in Bond, Four Grain Bourbon, and our 7-Year Four Grain Bourbon Bottled in Bond.
These awards reflect what has guided Laws Whiskey House from the beginning: no shortcuts, quality over quantity, and a commitment to making whiskey that truly represents Colorado.
FOUNDER’S SELECT BOURBON EARNS PLATINUM AT THE SIP AWARDS
Founder’s Select Colorado Straight Bourbon received a Platinum medal at the 2026 SIP Awards, one of the competition’s highest honors.
The SIP Awards are judged entirely by consumers, bringing together people from a range of backgrounds to recognize the spirits they would confidently recommend and purchase.

SAN LUIS VALLEY RYE BOTTLED IN BOND TAKES DOUBLE GOLD
Laws San Luis Valley Rye Bottled in Bond earned a Double Gold medal at the 2026 SIP Awards.
Made from heirloom rye grown and malted by the Cody family in Colorado’s San Luis Valley, this bonded rye reflects the grain, elevation, climate, and people behind every bottle.
All Laws Bottled in Bond whiskeys are now at least seven years old at release, allowing the character of the grain and Colorado’s high-elevation aging environment to fully develop.
The result is a distinctive Colorado rye with layers of baking spice, orange peel, black tea, sweet mint, and a long, peppery finish. feels thoughtful, local, and experience-driven.
FOUR GRAIN BOURBON EARNS GOLD AND AN INNOVATION AWARD
Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon received both a Gold medal and an Innovation Award at the 2026 SIP Awards.
Our flagship bourbon is made from a mash bill of 60% corn, 20% wheat, 10% rye, and 10% malted barley. Each grain contributes something different, creating a balanced bourbon with depth, structure, and a distinctly Colorado character.
The Innovation Award recognizes spirits that bring something unique to the category.
For Laws, innovation does not mean abandoning tradition. It means honoring time-tested whiskey-making methods while continuing to explore what is possible with Colorado-grown grains, open-air fermentation, pot still distillation, and high-elevation aging.

The award season continued with the 2026 ASCOT Awards, where Laws Four Grain Bourbon Bottled in Bond earned a Platinum medal.
Our bonded bourbon is made from the same signature four-grain mash bill that has defined Laws Whiskey House from the beginning. Aged for seven years, it brings together the sweetness of corn, the softness of wheat, the spice of rye, and the structure of malted barley.
The Platinum honor adds to a growing list of recognition for a whiskey that represents patience, intention, and a commitment to doing things the long way.

We work directly with two Colorado family farms to grow the corn, wheat, rye, and barley used throughout our portfolio. Every bottle is grown, distilled, aged, and bottled in Colorado.
