Gimme S’mores Old Fashioned
Cozy up to the campfire because we’re getting festive this fall
Ingredients
- 2oz. Laws Bonded Corn Whiskey
- 1/4oz. Toasted Marshmallow Syrup. Click here for the recipe.
- 2 Dashes Chocolate Bitters
Directions
1. Stir all ingredients with ice
2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube

Our favorite Halloween-inspired cocktail
Ingredients
- 2oz San Luis Valley Rye
- 1/4oz simple syrup
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Lemon or orange peel.
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to combine and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
Garnish with an expressed lemon peel. Use a cocktail smoker (here are a few suggestions) to add a layer of smoke for presentation and flavor. Savor the smokey aromas and enjoy.
Alternatively, you can bring a torch to a piece of an old barrel stave (we sell these in our Tasting Room) on a surface that won’t burn and then place your empty glass over the smoking wood. The smoke will leave its flavor on the inside of the glass. Prepare the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. A time tested and traditional Manhattan cocktail recipe made with Laws’ San Luis Valley Rye
Ingredients
- 2oz San Luis Valley Rye
- 1oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dash Angostura Bitters
- Brandied cherry
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to combine. Strain in to a coup or martini glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry and enjoy.
Bold Fashioned
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz San Luis Valley Rye
- 0.25 oz rosemary simple syrup
- 1 dash of chocolate bitters
- Rosemary garnish
DIRECTIONS
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Stir to dilute, pour over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with rosemary sprig.
Rosemary simple: 1 cup sugar, 1 cup of water 3-4 sprigs of rosemary. Bring all contents to a boil until sugar is dissolved. Take off heat and let the herbs steep until cool. Store in the fridge.Mountain Mint Julep
A traditional julep recipe made with our Colorado-made Four Grain Bourbon
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 oz Laws Whiskey House Four Grain Bourbon
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- 10 Mint Leaves
Directions
Combine all ingredients in shaker tin. Muddle mint, then shake with ice. Strain over fresh crushed ice into a julep cup or tall glass. Garnish with mint sprigs and enjoy.
Rabbit Season
The perfect cocktail to welcome spring
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Laws San Luis Valley Rye
- 3 oz carrot juice
- 3/4 oz 1:1 honey syrup
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a highball glass. Top with crushed ice. Garnish with carrot greens and enjoy.
