Ralphie’s Reserve Straight Bourbon is a whiskey built on Colorado pride. Distilled from heirloom Colorado grains and proofed with water from El Dorado Springs, just south of Boulder, it embodies the strength and tradition of CU Athletics.

We launched the first limited-edition Ralphie’s Reserve Bourbon at the very start of our partnership with CU, before the unforgettable season that followed. Fans had plenty to celebrate as CU Football delivered a winning record, a bowl appearance, and individual player honors that included bringing home the Heisman Trophy. That inaugural bottle, marking the beginning of our journey as the Official Whiskey of CU Athletics, can still be found on shelves today.

Now, in our second year together, we’re raising the bar with a new limited-edition Ralphie’s Reserve Bourbon featuring a new updated label design for the 2025 season. Whether you’re adding it to your collection or pouring a glass on game day, this release is a true keepsake for CU fans.

A portion of every bottle supports the Ralphie Live Mascot Program, which provides care for CU’s beloved live buffalo mascots and promotes community education about the American Bison.

The 2025 Black and Gold Select Bourbon has arrived.

Back in July, Laws Whiskey House Founder Al Laws and Head Blender James Kunz made the trip to Folsom Field with whiskey samples in hand to meet with CU Athletic Director Rick George and members of the Athletics Department. Together, they explored flavor, balance, and texture to select the perfect blend for this year’s release.

Aged between five and ten years, this 10-barrel batch features one barrel re-barreled from last year’s blend, carrying forward tradition while crafting something entirely new.

The 2025 Black and Gold Select stands as a tribute to CU pride and the pursuit of excellence. A percentage of bottle sales goes to supporting student-athletes across all 11 official collegiate sports.
